Athens airport connecting flight

I am arriving at Athens from Manchester and have about two hours to connect to a domestic flight from the same airport to one of the islands this summer. Is two hours enough to collect bags, check in to the other flight, then get to the gate?
Any insider knowledge? Thank you.
2 hours is the stated minimum if I recall. I've done it a couple of times before with only around 90 minutes to spare, so should be more than doable.Any insider knowledge? Thank you.
Where to out of interest?

Thanks Steve. I can relax a bit now!Where to out of interest?
I've erred on the side of caution and allowed 2.5 hours for changeover, so should be alright.

That's not a bad option either if you have the time, some nice views of the Islands heading out towards and getting to Santorini stevethegreek said:

Hi keithton, Santorini and Mykonos are conveniently located for ferry trips to other islands in The Cyclades, and beyond. Though great fun the ferry can be a bit of a faff, especially in high summer when hordes of teenagers/island-hoppers are using them and you have to queue in 35c heat before boarding. and then the chaos starts . The ferry from Pireaus takes about 8 hours IIRC, and there is an overnight option so you don't lose a day...but you won't get much sunbathing done! I swore not to do the ferries again after last year (people fainting on the dock at Naxos in the heat, not all ports were as bad though), so trying inter-island domestic flights for the first time this year.Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
