Does anyone have first hand experience of whether a French pet passport can be used in place of an AHC to take a dog from the UK to France as well as back the other way? Dog is English, as are my wife and me, and we will be travelling under British passports.

Bob has a FRench and English passport, we have English and Belgium. Following our last long stay all the current stuff is in the French passprt - which he has travelled to and from France on twice now. So yes no issues - just make sure everything is stamped and signed.

The reason for this thread is that the English passports are longer valid. Replaced by the AHC, which costs £200 and lasts four months maximum.
