Brazil - Belem & Natal Accommodation

Hi,
So after a good, but not brilliant honeymoon in Barbados over the xmas/New Year holidays, I want to make the most of the accommodation on our next holiday in Brazil.
My wife is from Brazil, her hometown being Belem. Her mother lives in Natal. We plan on heading over in May, Belem for 4 nights, Natal for 4 then back to Belem. We will only being staying with her mum for a night, the rest of the time in hotels.
We have had a look at what hotels are on offer but haven't made our mind up. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
The other half really likes Hotel Sombra e Água Fersca. It is a Balinese style hotel with really nice suites, but is about 1.5hrs from Natal, possibly too far.

We are currently in Brazil, I’ve started another thread on here about our travels. We’re loving our time here and are heading tomorrow to Alter do Chao, nearish to Belem.
We can’t give you any recommendations but haven’t found any problems booking as we go and had a great Airbnb earlier in our travels.
The £ buys over seven reals so hotels are cheap!
