Got a trip booked to Madrid in March, the Spanish entry requirement say everyone from a risk area (that includes most of the world) must be double or triple vaccinated, but then mentions high risk need a test as well as proof. Just doing an idiot check, I presume from this we only need to be vaccinated and no PCR needed and the NHS letter and app are accepted in Spain? I know a PLF equivalent needs filling in as well. Ta

Seems not unlike every EU country's requirement.

France requires, proof of vaccination plus a negative test result taken 24 hours before travelling to
your French entry point, Belgium requires all this plus a location form and the addresses of where
you will be staying.

These fkers weren't so persnickety about our entry requirements in 1944.

[ let it go eh ?]

Just back from Tenerife and we had to show NHS COVID passport and also fill the Spanish Passenger Locator form (from the Spanish Gov website) prior to boarding. As long as we had the correct number of vaccinations we were fine to fly. (Jet2)
Coming back is the reverse. TBF, although we filled in the Passenger Locator forms for UK, no one checked the PLF number at Stanstead unlike Spain.

However, things change tomorrow for the UK. As long as you take a lateral flow the morning of travel for your own benefit you will be fine. & days from being back and none of the 15 in my party developed COVID lurgy.

HTH.

Unsure if you have clarified the arrangements yet but here is a summary for UK residents, which Spain has made a special case as we are not in the High Risk list of countries but are considered high risk unlike any other country in the EU!

For tourism 18+ yrs entry to Spain is Vax Pass only, no option to test to enter. A Vax Pass is either 2 jabs and then travelling within 270 days of the last jab or 3 jabs.

12-17yrs has changed this week and a test to entry can be used. The same applies to under 12 yrs.

Just arrived earlier today, SptH form which has COVID proof on it was the only thing needed. Easy enough process.

Idiot that I am has booked to fly out to Spain on Sunday.

297 days passed since jab 2

I have a booster booked for tomorrow, 1 day before travel.

Anyone been in this situation and been ok to enter on arrival?

The official advice is:

‘’There is no requirement for 14 days to have passed between receiving your booster jab and entering Spain. Booster jabs can be administered at any time prior to travel to Spain.’’

Completely disagree with all this Spanish entry BS though.

Hope you’ve got a supply of masks op. The Spanish are VERY strict on them.

Not my experience and I’m returning today after 6 weeks in Spain. Everyone is relaxed, just wear them in shops etc. They still do the stand up mask, sit down no mask crap inside restaurants. But that’s about it. Most people in gyms/exercise classes don’t use them. Get togethers in peoples houses don’t wear masks.

I’d call that strict, particularly in shops. We were there in February & early this month. Not going back while the masks are required.

Neither is Spain ‘persnickety’ about the entry requirements for Ukrainian’s now. No entry restrictions whatsoever. But hey ho, it’s all about Covid science init. Punish the Brits cos’ they can, just like the French. Nothing political to see here, they’re just protecting the Spanish citizens (not).
