I'm looking for essentially two days' parking (08:00 Sat to 23:00 Sun) and all the quotes are coming out at around £50! Is that par for the course or am I missing something?

On may way to work i pass Airparks on Mackadown lane. It is a park and minibus service to the Airport which may be a bit cheaper for you? Airport is only 5/10 mins from there then.

Otherwise yeah the parking around there is crazy. Not sure if you could park at the train station and get the shuttle over ? But 2 days parking there may be the same sort of costs I expect. I know at resorts world if you spend ''£20'' in one of the shops you get the parking for £2.50 but I don't know what the max stay time is I'm sorry

As mentioned, park at the station and get the shuttle over. I’ve not parked there recently but it used to be £8 a day pre covid.

If you want the most convenient parking, Car Parks 2 and 3 are all basically outside the terminal buildings so very quick to walk to. I'd pay the £50 or so to park there even for 2 days. Car Park 1 is also opposite the terminal building but not quite as convenient as 2 and 3 in my view.

Parking at Birmingham International Station always used to be a good idea, but I've not tried it for years.

I'm being offered £41.99 for car park 4, which is apparently a 5 minute walk to the terminal. I guess I'll have to go for that as I don't really want to be messing about with shuttles.

if that's the going rate I can live with it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something more reasonable.

That rate at RW is a maximum of 12 hours sadly.

OP if you really don't want to pay for parking, you can leave your car at Tile Hill station and get a c.£2 ticket for the 10 minute ride to Birmingham International.

The parking at International (the railway station car park) used to be significantly less than the airport/NEC but they cottoned on to that a few years back and doubled their prices overnight. Shame as we used to park our cars there all the time for NEC events,.

It's not a question of not wanting to pay - I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being stupid and overpaying.

As usual I search PH for a thread about what I'm looking at and the solution is usually here lol

Just been quoted £80 to park 15 mins away from BHX for 4 days which seems excessive so wondered about the International Rail station car park which is £44 then the 2 minute free Air rail ink to the terminal.

Seems a no brainer - am I missing something?

Excellent - that's for replying.

I can't find anything in their terms and conditions saying you must be a train fare paying passenger. Surely it's up to me what I do when paying to leave my car in their car park!

Just had a little look at this as it caught my attention, the on-site car park 7 which I believe is the cheapest is £99 prebooked for a week in June (8 days)and a 10 minute shuttle bus away from the terminal where as BI train station prebooked is £94 and 2 mins away.
Train station car park sounds like a no brainer for VFM
