I'm having great difficulty processing a flight refund from Vueling, I follow all the online instructions but keep getting an automated reply, "Sorry there is a problem, we are not able to process your request. Please try again later". Has anyone else experienced this? All the contacts numbers/email address' I've tried in an attempt to resolve the issue are automated, I'd like to make contact with a "real" person either by email or phone. Can anyone help with an email address or phone number that puts me through to somebody that I can have a discussion with . Many thanks.

On Friday I was trying to use a credit for flights I will take next week. That also was infuriatingly complex as the both 1 and I looked identical in their screen script.

I cannot remember just how we made contact, but despite being in France, I was able to call the UK number and speak to a person in English, it took her a while to realise the 1-I issue.

The number that I used was 020 3514 3971 - according to my phone. Hope that it works for you.

Many thanks for both replies. The flight was booked using a credit card so the option of claiming that way still exists. I was hoping to just simply contact Vueling to sort the issue out over the phone. Interestingly when I phone the number ending 3971 I just get a pre-recorded message that ends up with me going round in circles! To rdjohn, i don't suppose you can remember the options you chose when you made contact with an actual person at Vueling?

Sorry, I do not recall, other than do we want English, or Spanish speaking assistant, and we wanted to use a refund code.

it just seemed very straightforward and the person who answered was patient and helpful

Good luck trying to get anything out of Vueling. Search for them on FB or TA and you will see the sheer frustration of people trying to get refunds - you will be very lucky if you manage to speak to an actual human.
We were due to fly to Barcelona beginning of October but had to cancel as I came back from our last trip with bad sciatica. Because their website is so st, we had to make make 2 separate bookings as you can’t just have 1 suitcase between 2. End result my wife got a flight credit (as hers was an Optima booking) which she doesn’t want whilst mine was non refundable never thinking we’d have to cancel.
You should be able to claim Airport Duty Tax for each flight but they’re just ignoring us. Now with our travel insurance but they need a receipt for my wife’s flight which they won’t send.

Has anyone had any success getting a refund from Vueling (or Vuelying as they are known in our household). We had flights in Sept 2020 cancelled by them due to Covid. Applied for a refund which was said to take a few days and which we screenshot. Didn't do a chargeback as I believed them!... then found I was out of time. Impossible to speak to a humanoid. Their call system is a doom loop of repetitive options. They don't have a UK address that I can find otherwise I would have done a MoneyClaim on line. Latest wheeze is to tell me the Iban and SWIFT code I have given them are both wrong (despite being copied and pasted from my account on line). How many deeply unhappy customers are out there? @vueling then send me an email saying they are the most punctual airline in europe....not when paying people back what they are owed!

Have you tried raising this publicly on Twitter - that often helps gets a response/resolution

Take a look on FB “Vueling Refund Please” - a group of almost 500 unhappy customers trying to get refunds. Most have been unsuccessful but the odd ones have got refunds. I got mine back through our travel insurance but my wife’s flight came back in the form of a flight credit which we refused but they just ignore any requests we make for a refund and our travel insurance won’t pay for that flight.
Try DM’ing them on Twitter and make lots of derogatory comments on their FB posts (make sure you add them as a group so that you get all their rubbish postings and slag them off!)
You’ll get a scripted response spouting how you need to contact them - ignore them & reply back saying you’ve tried all that.
With a bit of luck they’ll get sick of you and pay up.
