Working in the Middle East and wanting to park a car at Manchester airport. Looking at prices / convenience etc. I normally hire a car but getting sick of them. I try and get home once or twice a month for a few days so need regular access.

What can you recommend?

I was going to say hire car .... at least that way it should be cheaper and the car won't get damaged. What about the train ?

Live in the middle of the Peak District so train a bit of a hassle.

Really?

Trains run regularly direct from the airport to the Hope Valley, with notice a taxi from there could have you to the "middle" of the Peak for a decent price, almost certainly cheaper than long term airport parking

Where are you based over here?

We're based on your side of Sheffield. If parking is more than £65, we can drive you one way for that. Merc E class estates, any time....smile

I live just over three miles from Manchester Airport (£10 in a taxi), and have space available to park a car, which is covered by CCTV cameras. Maybe it would help?

You'll have seen me waving on your CCTV, then...smile

No, really, I know the naughtiest. He operates from home, near you, and tried to palm off a rebuilt write off on me, posing as a private sale, and wound the clock back by about 100k.

He's not a private seller, he's a very naughty boy....hehe

Are these "off-site" meet and greet companies reliable or do they charge too much?

Probably as well to avoid the one in this article from a couple of days ago: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greate...

Publicity for that company, but not necessarily good publicity is it?

Don't think I'm allowed to say here.

Hint....airport bound, traffic lights, Griffin on your left, go a bit further, turn right, big house usually with an Audi, Merc and BMW in the drive, young chap, could be Asian.

Suggest just parking up on a quiet street out the way somewhere in Wilmslow or Hale and getting a taxi/Uber across.

That parking site has changed hands more times than a hot sausage roll.
