I am flying from Manchester airport next week. Is there any decent secure parking near the airport, without being in the airport?

I can park for £35 near my terminal but if I can find cheaper close by then I'll use that.

Cheers

Depending on how long you're out for, we usually find a night in Bewleys at one end or the other of the trip makes parking cheap, it also makes for a relaxed start if you're outbound flight is early in the morning, or a nicer end to a trip if you get back late on.

Cheers. I am out for 2 days. Leaving early from T3 and arriving back the next day late to T3.

If you wanted very cheap you could park in Heald Green for free and get a train in...

Fwiw and in the grand scheme of the whole trip / trip I just always park in the short stay, on site opposite.
Zero Taff, straight in / out of the car and you can be on the way to the motorway within 10 mins of deplaning.

This ^^^^

Book online and no hassle totally secure 2 mins walk to terminal - parked here last month - numberplate recognition to let you in as well

That'a a new development at Manchester. The Heathrow ANPR cameras keep getting my number wrong. That doesn't matter because I'm not pre booking, but what would happen if the Manchester system went tits up and ANPR is the only way to get in after pre booking?

That's the obvious solution, yes, but I wouldn't trust those monkeys to let me out in such circumstances. The new system might work, but the old system was a nightmare out of hours, with the voice on the intercom saying he had nowt to do with the car park office and he wouldn't let you out unless you paid £432.50 for half an hour.

Never a dull moment at Manchester airport...

Thank you for using Manchester airport, we know you have a choice...rofl Errr, no, actually, you don't....hehe

Token to get out, issued when you come in, valid to midnight on the day of arriving back

Yes, as long as it works. We use prepaid concession cards and the old system occasionally didn't recognise them, whereupon you had a problem out of hours.

Used the meet & greet the other week when we were there as it was on offer on the airports own website.

8 days parking was £42.

Drop car off at terminal and collect from terminal on return.

I have no idea where they keep the car while you're away though - possibly on a side street in Moss Side.....

Trip computer showed it had travlled 1.2 miles while I was away, and the website says its parked in an on site secure car park.

Really good service I thought.

The Laurels. 30 quid per week - drop your car off at their property - 3 mins from the airport and they then drop you at the terminal. They collect you from the terminal upon your return and take you back to their place to get your car. Used them loads of times and it's a good service:

Thanks for your replies.

Its only for 1 day (just over 36 hours) and some of the prices are ridiculous!

T3 parking is nigh on £40!!

Skypark is £17, that'll do!

Has anyone had any issue with the Token? Do I need to download a QR Code reader for my phone as it mentions a QR code? Or is that on something that I print out?

Cheers
