Hi,
I am setting off back home on wednesday, Leaving Torrevieja at approx 8am and driving to Andorra for an hours stop then driving 3/more hours to get past Toulouse. Next day full days driving and stop north of Paris leaving me a few hours on the morning before the ferry.
Im looking for a route which is mainly motorways, I dont mind paying the tolls but i would like to avoid the main ones (20e/30e+).
Can anyone recommend a route? I know one to Andorra which doesnt include tolls so its mainly just Andorra to Calais.
Thanks

I regularly travel from Javea to Calais.

Torrevieja to Toulouse is quite a run via Andorra don't underestimate how long it will take to get through Andorra.

My preferred route is always via Saragossa and Pamplona to Bordeaux, stopping overnight in Bordeaux. Then on to Tours, LeMans Rouen (not good) and Calais. I avoid any route taking me near Paris!

The toll roads in France make the journey easy but boring, a good guide to the toll costs is on the AA site

theaa.com/allaboutcars/overseas/european_tolls_results.jsp?country=France

IMHO its worth the extra using non toll roads will add 4-6 hours to your journey.

If you really want to avoid tolls this is a good site and has a route from Calais to the Spanish border via Bordeaux - just reverse it.
