Next weekend we're staying in London staying near the bank tube,

Sunday is the mens marathon, would you head to the mall/big ben area or head to the tower of london which is the furthest point of the marathon route, but nearer to where are digs are?

Personally I would just go to the place where you're likely to get the best view. On a Sunday you should be able to get around without too much trouble as you won't have to worry about commuters and you can always walk if you don't want to use public transport.

My thinking was the towers only a few tube stops from bank where were staying and might be quieter than the mall area, but i have no idea about distances in london?

You might be able to see it from your hotel !

The section between Cannon St and Blackfriars might be good, as they go passed both ways. Some tube stations might not be open due to route etc, but anywhere in the city is not far to walk.

In London a mile is still only a mile biggrin
