Does anyone have any recommendations for things to do in the Isle of Wight that would be suitable for 3 year olds? We're going in early September and staying in Bembridge (East Coast).

Thanks.

I seem to remember going to Alum Bay and the Needles on a school trip when I was about 7 and thought it was cracking.

some wonderful beaches although most of the ones we went to were on the east coast there was sandown where ours played for days and rockpools near pondwell where we spent every evening . There were also some wonderful beaches and dunes in the top right of the island
Just looked and as I though bembridge is on the east coast and is surrounded by fabulous beaches.
We also did a short flight from bembridge airport when ours were that age they loved it and got to see the whole island.
There was a really good butterfly centre in the middle of the island amazon world or something , ours loved it .
It was a few years ago but I doubt much has changed

I wouldn't take 3 year olds on the chair-lift though!!!! My 4 year old did something pretty silly and it's only because I had my arm around her that she didn't fall off.

If you are National Trust members there are some great places to visit. The Needles Battery, Bembridge Windmill and Mottistone Manor Gardens all had a trail for children which my 4 year old loved.
She also really liked visiting the lifeboat station at Bembridge as it was at the end of its own pier.
The ferry trip over is exciting for little ones as well.
If you go on the Steam Railway combine it with the 'regular' train and visit Ryde where the train goes to the end of the pier. You can also see the hovercraft leaving for the mainland from there. Exciting to watch and looking at Portsmouth is fun seeing Spinnaker Tower and all the ships.

Its near Freshwater just 2 minutes walk from the beach and has views of the Needles. I'd love to send you some vacancies but unfortunatly (but fortunatly for me!) its booked solid until mid October. That said if you still want details for next year let me know and I'll PM you the info.

Cheers
