Marylanza Resort Tenerife- anyrecommendations?

My partner has chosen a week away as a bday gift for her 30th to this resort

and I just wondered if anyone has previously visited and could comment on what its like? and possibly what there is decent to do in playa de la americas? Trip advisor sounds promising but just thought some trusted first hand experience would be even better

If you can hire a car, it is really worthwhile driving up to the Mount Teide national park for the stunning scenery and also driving to the north of the island to Loro Parque zoo which is a really good one with killer whale display and so forth.

I'd second the get a car and look around the island. Playa de las Amricas itself is nothing particularly great to write home about, but that hotel is equally close to los Cristianos which is generally a nicer more relaxed place. Are you aware its about half a mile inland so a not a particularly easy walk to beaches? The Whale/Dolphin trips from Los Cristianos harbour are worth doing and as already said going up Mount Teide if you have a head for heights the cable car to the very top.
