Where to go...

Right, I shall try to keep this brief. My mate works for an airline, and as a result of this has access to probably the cheapest flights you will ever get. He has the week off next week so we are going on a jolly.
The idea is to get on a plane, go somewhere, have a hell of a lot of fun, get back on a plane and come home. We will be going monday to friday of next week. Timescale doesn't really matter, we could go for one day of epic partying or we could go for 5 days of chilled lounging in the sun!
The problem is, where to go? Neither of us have a great deal of money, a few hundred quid each to have a laugh. We are comfortable with budget accomodation etc, we just need some suggestions of where to go where there is something going on, events happening, great nightlife, a great party etc.
To give you an idea of our thoughts, we have considered Barbados but it is weather season there so we may get stuck in the hotel for the week. We really are willing to go anywhere on the planet, flights permitting. We have also considered camping in france, Amsterdam, driving to the 'ring, etc.
Appreciably, this is quite a broad question but I believe that is the beauty of it, make a suggestion, any suggestion! If we choose your suggestion you win a virtual PH pint!

See, I love the idea of Thailand, but there is a risk I wouldn't come back 
may be a little too far to travel though 
I wouldn't mind but my mate has to be back next saturday for work
Croatia is a really good shout actually, a mate has just come back from there and he rated it highly!
