Or Lanazarote.
We went to Mallorca from the 17-29 September last year and had fabulously sunny weather.
By contrast we went to Spain in October and it rained a lot but Spain is like that.
Canaries are safer and we've had really hot weather even in October but rain is always a risk. I also wouldn't rule out Tenerife as the Mount Teide National Park is spectacular if you like that sort of thing and they have the Loro Parque zoo which is well worth a butchers. However, having a mountain means you can get rain. Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are a lot flatter.
