2-3 day 'euro trip' next week

So I have next week off work and thought I'd take myself on a little adventure armed with my car and my camera. I was thinking about getting the Eurotunnel to Calais and then just driving over to Bruges or something to explore and stay overnight.

Does anyone have any better/more interesting suggestions for a spontaneous mini trip? Cheap being a reasonably high criteria.

Was also thinking Scotland but the weather doesn't look promising!
