Bucharest - things to do?

Will be in Bucharest for a few days at the end of next week and looking for suggestions of things to do / must see places etc.

I've been a couple of times before, so have seen the main sights in the centre of the city, so would be interested to hear if anyone knows of any more unusual places to see in or around the city.

Also any "day trip" places worth a visit outside the city - is it possible to get to the coast and back within a day for example?

You need to go to "vama veche" on the black sea , possibly around 3 hour drive from Bucharest. I'm Going on the 22nd
