Going on holiday for a couple of months. After a good pair of trainers or trail type shoes that I can walk in all day without too many problems.

Ideally I want a really light pair that are nice and breathable. I'll be in middle east/asia and sighting around on Tarmac.

I am thinking something a bit like Vivobarefoot breatho trail or neo trail...

I'd rather go barefoot than wear Crocs!

I have some Salomon GTX boots, light and very comfortable, probably a little too much for the middle east, but their trail running shoes might be worth a look.

If you're on your feet all day, you really can't beat MBT's. Expensive but really worth the cash.

Try inov8 terroc 330's. They are lightweight and very breathable.

Can't comment on their shoes but their walking boots have a reputation for being light, extremely comfortable and falling apart within a very short space of time.

Have a look at 'Keen' sandals:

I particularly like these as they're nice and airy, but also have a closed in toe in case you get trodden on.

They're also good for swimming anywhere rocky or sea urchin infested.
