Cheap Hotel in London tonight?

I've got a mate coming into town tonight and wants a cheap hotel last minute. I think he wants to be reasonably central and he'd be happy with anything travellodge standard and up but a travellodge is £110 for the night!! For a travellodge!

Is there anything of a similar standard for £50-£60 or is that just dreaming? Area not too fussy

Do a search on www.hotels.com there should be lots of choice of rooms much cheaper than £110.
