We have EasyJet flight vouchers due to our last holiday fiasco. Nice seems one of the cheapest destination airports so Mrs JABB says to have a look
We are looking for budget, 3-5 nights, within easy reach of Nice.
Any recommendations?
Due to the last hol being cancelled due to our daughters illness, we lost so much money, we can't afford to push the boat out.
Daughter is 3.
Anyone offer any advice please?

Flights may be cheap but accomodation, food etc. aren't.

That said, it's a very nice part of the world.
- Head west and the resorts tend to get a little cheaper, and you can get better beaches if you hunt around (East and the beaches are small and often artificial or pebbles). But there's less to do.
- Head east and you've all of the famous and fashionable resorts, with plenty to do/see.

We stayed in Villefranche-sur-mer 2 years ago - could get buses back into Nice or down towards Monaco and Menton (avoid Menton - nothing the other places don't have). Big enough to have a good choice of restaurants and a bit of a beach, small enough to be navigable and friendly.

If you've time/money, DO head inland - St Paul de Vence is beautiful and well worth a visit. (Saw Roger Moore when I popped in to get breakfast!) Grasse is where the perfume is made and might make an interesting detour, and we visited a chocolatier somewhere in that area too (would probably need a car for the last two).

There are also some nice gardens and posh houses around that area.

Kids...suspect Nice / Cannes / St Tropez are probably better in terms of water parks and stuff for them, to be honest, not needed to worry about it yet.
