New York (Brooklyn) apartment for holiday rent in Sept?

Four of us are going to New York in early September for a holiday and a wedding (friends daughter). 7 days and looking to stay in a rented apartment rather than a hotel and the East side of Brooklyn (around Cobble Hill) to be local to the wedding venue.

We've found a few on www.homeaway.co.uk but wondered if any PH'ers could offer advice or know a good apartments? Need two bedrooms, preferably 2 bathrooms for less than $1400 for the week (02/09 > 09/09).
