USA - New entry requirements?
Discussion
After a bit of advice here please.
We're off to Florida again this summer and a chap was telling me yesterday that there will be some sort of new entry form that needs filling out with credit card details and all sorts of other personal info, from May 1st, ie. tomorrow.
I know about the ESTA forms and can't find any info on this new thing. Is anyone else aware of anything?
TIA

I'm not aware of a form that requires credit card details, but a short while ago there was a new piece of U.S legislation that meant you have to advise the U.S authorities even if you're only flying THROUGH U.S airspace, not even landing there!
I'm flying to the U.S on Saturday for work and had to complete the above mentioned form, but I didn't have to provide any credit card details - nor would I.

No changes whatsoever regarding ESTA.
I think your chap was referring to the API (advance passenger information), which is sent by the airlines, and includes your credit card number and other fun stuff.
Without this you cant board a flight to the US. There was a recent court case with some changes to the API agreement, so he may be getting confused with that.

I've just bought 4 for a group of us so the other 3 will have no information
Well, presumeably they'll have your credit card info attached to their PNR.Amazing if this happens that stolen credit card information is commonly used to buy flights, apparently without any interest in catching offenders.

Brilliant, thanks for the info. I think your chap was referring to the API (advance passenger information), which is sent by the airlines, and includes your credit card number and other fun stuff.
