Drugs, dheads on stag do's and underage girls.

Newquay's a sthole. I'd avoid it like the plague.

HTH

In slightly more serious advice.... There's a good kart track at St.Eval just up the coast and Padstow is good for a wander round/couple of pints beside the harbour.

How about a surf lesson on Fistral beach?

There are underage girls everywhere..you don't have to shag them hehe

Regarding drunks though..I was sitting on the high street on a warm quiet evening after the season had finished, listening to quite a talented busker while i ate my fish and chips.

A Stag do made it's way down the street and the busker looked at me as if to say "Here we go".

Lots of drunken comments/abuse followed and then one guy , by way of apology fished around in his pocket and pulled out some small change which he threw all over the road and said "There you go, pick that up you "

Once they had gone i picked up all the coins and put them in the guys guitar case and sat back down to enjoy the rest of the show smile

^ this is true.

Loads of much nicer places nearby, or if you can, consider the south coast. Underrated.

The Glendorgal Hotel on Porth Bay, just outside of Newquay, is lovely, though.

Stayed there on business and also taken the wife down for a few days.

I proposed the following tag line to the Cornish Tourist Board. Didn't hear back:

Newquay - You only go once.
