Luggage repair in Manchester??
Discussion
A friend of mine has tried to claim on his travel insurance for his £400 Samsonite suicase that got damaged on his flight back home. The insurance company have told him that he needs to get a report from a luggage repairer but he needs to find one himself. He has searched online with not much luck.
Anyone come across this scenario before, or know of anyone that does repairs in Manchester?
Thanks

The only place I can think of is Antler in Bury.

I know they do repairs to their own products but not sure if they could provide an estimate for a rival manufacturer.

If your friend had just gone to whoever the handling company was for their airline at the airport there is a good chance that he would have been put straight in contact with the company above.
I had dealings with them when Virgin trashed my daughter's pushchair on the way back from Orlando a couple of years ago. Service was pretty good, their website says they are an authorised Samsonite repair centre so I should think they are exactly who you are looking for.

If you fly with one of the major airlines then they have a dedicated outsourced agent who will deal with the claim (K2 Global - Virgin)
I have had 2 x Rimowa suitcases replaced on my last two trips to the US
No issues, reported at airport and new case turned up 6 weeks later
Note they did try to fob me off with a cheap Italian brand of suitcase and also stated my case was no longer available in the colour i have !
