Has anyone ever been?

Got a few days spare while over there with work. Is there anything worth doing or visiting there or close by?

Thanks

Nice place by all accounts (as is the rest of Norway), but I think you'd have more fun heading in-land a bit.

Very unremarkable town, but I spent less than 24 hours there.

Make sure you fly there, and not to Kristiansund wink

A bit lively on the summer solstice.

Very 'unlively' most of the rest of the time.

All the snows gone early this year, so it's a bit in between seasons right now. It was 20 degrees in Oslo today, whereas it was -20 3 months ago. I'm watching the news in the background and they're swimming in the sea, I'm pretty sure the gulf stream hits that bit of the coast.

How long until you come ? 17th May is the national day. Multiply Christmas by two and you'll be getting close. If you're here over Easter, the place will be a ghost town. And closed.

Get outside the town, I have amate has asummer cottage on the Fjord to the east nice place if the sun shines, If you have transpot then look at going to settesdale, or up the west coast to Flekkefjord.
The town is a typical Norwegian place, poor pubs expensive beer. You can take a trip on the ferry to denmark for a night out on cheap beer.
