I very much enjoy wasting time looking at random places on street view. my latest pastime is zooming out to see the whole world and randomly putting the little man somewhere random. often with very interesting results!

Are there any places that you LT would reccomend looking at in particular?

cheerses!

The place I looked at first was our house. I value our privacy and was pleased to see all they had was pictures of hedges smile

I think you've misunderstood me. I'm not looking for famous sights or landmarks. Just places.

For example one of the first I found was a little wild west type town in America somewhere. It was brilliant.

Have a look around Detroit then, it's quite shocking what a state that city is in.

I've lost countless hours 'driving' around on street view too.

I checked out the streetview on my parents house and found my late father in the garden , must have been taken just before he passed away .

I noticed last week they have renewed the photo as he is no longer in the photo , bizarely if you zoom up the street and pan back to the house , my mother is in shot but Father is not

Their camera car passed our house yesterday, deep in the far south eastern Bulgarian boondocks. It'll be interesting to see how long it takes for the images to go 'live'.

If it is anything like the google-maps overhead views, could be years! I know that some of that is at least 5 years old!

around Scarborough its great. the aerial shots show one road layout (from years ago) and street view has all the new road layouts!
