Ski trip advice
Discussion
I am looking to book a budget 4 day (3 ski days)
End of Feb, we want to spend as little as possible, but don’t want to go anywhere that’s a bit crap.
Whats the best way to do it….book everything separate or as a package?
Also any decent website hints, tips ideas will be much appreciated
We have all skiing before and are okay at skking.

I always book everything separately, just seems to give a bit more flexibility.
Usually fly easyjet to Geneva - they have lots of flights and a very handy 'late' flight about 9.00pm in the evening so you can get a full day in on your last day.
Hire a car from whoever is cheapest on the Swiss side - if there are 3 or more of you this will be cheaper than transfers and massively more convenient.
For accommodation I usually use Pierre & Vacances, maybe not the cheapest but nice places and they will usually take bookings for weekends etc as long as its not peak season.
Need to be a bit careful end of Feb as some of French schools may still be off so it will be v busy and more expensive - may be better to wait a week till early March if poss.
As for resorts - if you want quick and easy from the airport and a decent variety of skiing then you could go a lot further wrong than Flaine.

We did a weekend in Alpes D'Huez a few years ago. It was actually a weekend footy tour and we got some skiing in also.
Cheap flight to Grenoble.
Hire car up the mountain ( less than an hour from the airport ).
Book hotel online before you go , I think we paid about £30 per person per night for a twin room.
Equipment hire and ski pass for the couple of days wasn't too bad.
Definitely try to avoid the busy ski period , try a weekend early-mid March.
