Planning on going to the Belgium GP in August and have started looking around for hotels/B&Bs in or around Spa. Anyone been before who can recommend somewhere? I'm ideally looking at the budget end of the market.

Looks like it's fully booked, and probably a bit pricey anyway!

We considered camping but have decided on a cheap hotel instead, so basic isn't a problem!

Also search for 'Francorchamps' which is the village immediately adjacent to the circuit.

Its Belgium - you'll get ripped off for about 50 miles....some folk stay in Holland and/or Germany - most nearby places will be booked by tour operators anyway

Ibis in Aachen. Stayed here for the Belgium GP last year (11). Was only 40 mins away, cheap and the town is really nice. Has some good pubs etc.

Good call on looking in the Netherlands. Found a 2 star hotel just over the border, cheap as chips so i think i might go for that. Don't want to leave it too much later as most places seem fully booked already.

I would book sooner rather than later. Fuel is considerably cheaper in the Netherlands too, even right on the border of Germany.
