Ligurian and Tuscan coast advice
Discussion
Does anyone know this area particularly well please?
We have booked four nights in Marina di Pisa on recommendation. The place we have booked looks lovely but, we wonder if Marina Di Pisa itself may be a little quiet and boring on an evening.
We do not want to have to get the car out every evening as we want to be able to go out and have a relaxing drink and nice meal.
There are some lovely hotels in Viareggio but a lot more expensive and then there is Forte die Marmi, supposed to be beautiful but yet more expensive.
We are reading a lot of reviews and they seem to vary wildly. Is Viareggio a good place to use as a nice base, with a hotel with a pool, access to the beach and also lots of nice little bars, cafes and restaurant?
Or is there somewhere else that we should consider?
Any advice gratefully received
Thanks,
