Mrs tiger and I are thinking of going to Rome for NYE (28th - 2nd) so need a hotel to stay in for 5 nights.
I think we want to be around the Spanish Steps/Fountain area and were hoping to get it for 600 Euro or less.
There seems to be even more choice there than there is here (Dubai) hotel wise, anybody got any recommendations they have stayed in?
TIA

About 5 minutes from Spanish Steps. Some nice places to eat in the same street. Maybe a bit pricey over New Year ?

Yeah about double what she was hoping to spend but thanks for trying.About 5 minutes from Spanish Steps. Some nice places to eat in the same street. Maybe a bit pricey over New Year ?
I think we are going to need to spend more at that time of year, but will keep searching
Just to update this should anyone be looking for some recommendations, we stayed at the one below and would be happy to give it a thumbs up to any PH'ers to Rome.

Nothing fancy but clean, good location, helpful staff and had AC (that doubles as heating).

We're off to Rome 3 weeks today. Really looking forward to it. However, just wondering, how expensive is it in an average restaurant? For a half decent meal and a few beers? My dad went to Paris at the end of last year and reckon it was like 8 or 9 Euros for a pint or glass of wine. Is it similar in Italy? Can you recommend any nice places to eat, around 50/60 euros a head for 2?http://www.booking.com/hotel/it/seven-kings-relais...
