Only time ever in Fisrt Class (Emirates Suite Class)
Discussion
On a recent trip to Singapore I managed to be upgraded from Business on Emirates to First. I have no idea how, or who did this for me but I thought you might like to see the pictures.
From a young child I always wondered what First was like to travel in. I remember looking at the plush wide seats of the 70’s and 80’s and wondering if I would ever be fortunate to travel in them. Being in the aviation business I travel a lot, and a lot on Emirates too, so maybe that has something to do with the upgrade.
Emirates offer a chauffeur service from you house to the airport, even for business, which is great. The car collected me as usual and we went to Heathrow. Check in was normal, being assigned 23K on the upper deck of the A380. All was totally normal until boarding and they swapped my boarding pass for one with ‘First’ on it.
Here are some pics

The best parts are the personal service. You don’t have to do anything, even if you want to go for a walk they escort you around the plane showing you things which you wouldn’t normally know about or get to see. The food is fantastic the service out of this world, but worth the price tag?

Wow that looks amazing. Did you not have a bed?
Seat becmes a bed at press of a button. Its not quite as good as Singapore First but its still amazing.Deva Link said:
Do you sit completely isolated from other people? I imagine some people like that, but what's happens if you're loaded enough to be taking your missus with you?
Yes you have electric doors to shut the outside world off, like an old railway carriage. Its very private and SQ offer double beds in the middle. The infamous 5 minute showers! Cause of more 380 delays than any other feature....
Thanks for the photos, have to admit it would be a nice place to sit if you weren't paying for it but much like Singapore airlines cubicle approach it does seem very isolated. Great for business bigwigs to get some quality sleep or lots of work done though I'd imagine.
Nice touch getting a free upgrade, well done to Emirates.
