I asked a similar question in the other thread, although it went unanswered.
My mother is in NZ and due to travel back on Qantas in the next day or so. I've not yet heard what she'll be doing to get back.
A lot or most of the "Qantas" services from NZ are unaffected as they are operated by Jetconnect. If you go to the Qantas website it explains a little bit about it. My mother is in NZ and due to travel back on Qantas in the next day or so. I've not yet heard what she'll be doing to get back.

But what i`m wondering, if Quantas do "collapse" can all the other airlines accomadate the passengers that booked with Quantas ? surely the airline just wont fade into thin air ?
This is sort of keeping up to date with what is going on in the Fairwork meetings. I heard it will take them about 6 hours to crank everything back up again.http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/qantas-grounds-...

I`m going Heathrow to Perth....fingers crossed !!!! on 8th Nov
Ah ok, if it was to Sydney, that might have been on a British Airways Aeroplane which I doubt would be affected. Perth is a different matter, as it is a Qantas aeroplane that goes to Perth QF78 or QF72, one of those(Airbus A330). QF10 or QF32 to Singapore might be an A380 depending on which day.
It is 12.19am here in Melbourne, they adjourned the Fairwork meeting at 12.05am. Hopefully pending a resolution. (decision to be made at 1am)
