The place must be great?? they shoot the people who try to leave so who wants to visit the place.A very depressing totalitarian state, and they have nukes.

That's it confirmed, I am definitely going to North Korea next year! Didn't another PHer do a tour a few years back?

I've been wanting to go to NK for years. Ever since I read a photo thread linked to on here a few years ago. Alfachick's trip on the Russian sleepers what what I wanted to do; on the eponymous Trans-Siberian Express.

We're in South Korea for Christmas, so we'll be going to the DMZ for a day trip. I've already got Myanmar booked in for next year, so want to round out my list of interesting/dangerous places to visit in Asia. Thanks for the link to Alfachicks write up, will use that for inspiration!

It was my mate that organised the tournament in North Korea. His travel company runs tours there so he's been quite a bit. From what he tells me I really want to go! http://www.lupinetravel.co.uk/north-korea-holidays...

good luck getting into America with stamps like those on your passport then hehe

I still carry 2 passports just so that i can split up the Pakistan / india stamps or the middle east from USA ones etc - saves the knuckle dragging immigrations bloke from getting too carried away - as long as you remember which passport to arrive on!

Having read about the gate of hell, I may change my mind to Turkmenistan - that's going to piss all over my friends exotic trips on Facebook smile

Where's the Flow Rider surf training thing that I see on most cruise liners these days?
