Nice place to stay near Pershore?
Discussion
I'm off to see a car in Warwickshire tomorrow and, seems it's a bit of a trek, I was thinking about taking my missus along and stopping over at a B&B on the way back.
So, can anyone recommend a nice area and/or B&B in South Warwickshire or North Oxfordshire within 10 miles or so of Pershore?
Looking for a nice, affordable olde worlde pub type place with decent food and beer.

I live about 10 miles south of Pershore.
If you are seeing a car in Warwickshire, you will get more choice of B&B's if you look towards the Cotswolds eg Broadway, Chipping Camden etc
It's then down to budget. Dormy House in Broadway is a very nice small hotel that we use when friends come to stay etc.
Don't be attracted by the nice pics of Dumbleton Hall hotel, it's pretty tired inside
If you Google b&b Broadway you will come up with plenty that are nice

I live in North Oxon but frequently have nights away from the kids with the OH.
Without hesitation I would recommend The Howard Arms at Ilmington

It's a lovely pub, not at all pretentious, the rooms are large and well fitted out. Laterooms frequently have better rates. The food & beer are also top notch.

The Lygon Arms in Broadway is on of the best hotels I have stayed in and centered in probably the loveliest Cotswold village but priced accordingly.
The Anchor at Wyre Piddle is in the side of the Avon and a superb pub/hotel.
The drive from Wyre Piddle to Pershore on the B road between the two, is an absolute delight for spirited motoring.
Further afield the Fleece at Bretforton is a quite remarkable pub in one family for 500 years now owned by the National Trust in a lovely village good accomodation.
Both cheaper than the Lygon Arms not necessarily not as good just different.
You may gather from this I spent many hours in all three. I did it was fun.
Good Luck.
