Family trip to the Alps hopefully. Hire a chalet/gite for 2 weeks, lots of walking/running/cycling/driving in the mountains mixed with chilling out in the villages and at the house.

The OH is looking at all-inclusive holiday villages for us and our Son... I've never tried one before, but I'm worried it's going to be full of union jack shorts wearing knucledraggers trying to pour 19 pints of local booze down their neck every day "to get their money's worth"

Frankly the idea of package Holidays fills me with dread, but I can see the attraction, endless kids club to keep young sir happy (he's a tiny lad with the energy of a stampede of bulls) unlimited access to water parks and no need for constant "Daaaaaad, can I have a...." and almost guaranteed Sun to keep SWMBO happy after our rainy / windy trip to Loire this year.

I'll take a book...

And a week with my mates in the Alps on the Mountain Bikes in June / July.
