We went several years ago, flew to the mainland and then a ferry.
Stayed at a village called Golden Sands at the time very quiet great beach with several Taverns around.
We really enjoyed it at the time, it may have changed now.

I went years ago. Nice enough, fairly quiet. Some interesting ruins on parts of the island (if you're into that sort of thing). I hired a "jeep" (Suzuki Jimny!) and went up to a small village on a mountain - stunning views and great food. Worryingly though, the locals exhumed bodies after 3 years and stored the bones in a big brick building...

I belive it is still fairly quiet there which was part of the reason to go, plus its a lot cheaper than most of the other Islands.
