A friend wants us to take over some Benadryl for him in our hand luggage. I can see restrictions for stuff in bottles, but nothing on pills. Anyone know if they're OK? Don't want to waste lots of money buying them if they get taken off us!

I fly a LOT and carry benadryl capsules in my hand-luggage everywhere due to a mild anaphylactic shock incident years ago. Never had a problem, anywhere.

Liquid is different to capsules though. I am basing it on experience.

yes Exactly right. The op should be fine but he has to be prepared to be held up slightly just incase. I also believe that they get their rubber gloves out for anyone carrying cough medicine. hehe

Only joking. biggrin

I regularly carry loads of pills & potions travelling around, all tablets or capsules & have never had an issue.

IIRC, Japan is quite strict on medicines, for example Vicks is banned. Never had problems anywhere else though.
