Dunkirk to Bressuire - Good camping region on route please?!

Hi all,
Am planning to do a bit of a French road trip in August (Dunkirk to Bressuire) and getting the ferry to Dunkirk. (good offer atm with Norfolkline if use to anyone).
Would be interested to hear from anyone who can recommend a region worth stopping at for a couple of days to camp and do a bit of cycling/walking and generally soaking up the French way of life!
Can do somewhere on the North/west coast or inland?
