Hi

i'm looking to buy some currency ( USD ) in the next couple of days, seems a much better rate when you buy online and have it delivered. I'm guessing there is no delivery charge and no credit cards fees.

Does anyone have any recommendations or experiences of which company to use ?

Thanks
AC

Currently 1.61. (Dammit, I bought at 1.58 frown)

£5 for next day delivery, you pay by bank transfer.. if your bank do faster payments that means you'll get the USD the next day, if not you'll have to wait 3 days for a regular bacs payment.

Note they also sell American Express travellers cheques, I understand that there was a scam going on with visa cheques a while back and some retailers are loathed to accept visa ones now - don't know how widespread it was though.

You can also look at prepay cards like fairfx, mixed reviews on these, some people have trouble with them not being accepted, others say they are fine.

AFAIK if you buy using a credit card it counts as a cash advance and you get hit with interest immediately.

I've just looked into that and apparently will count as a cash advance, so not the way to go !

Thanks
