Weekend in London Aug 12-15...suggestions welcomed

I have a brief stopover in London and am staying in Piccadilly for a brief meeting with my son. Although I lived there years ago and visit fairly regularly, not sure what to do for weekend.

Any tips on a couple of good traditional pubs, some mid range places to eat, and anything of automotive interest?...
last time I was there a year ago I went a bit higher on food but he is not a real foodie, did Hix,a Fergus Henderson place ( saint john?) and Sheekeys as I recall among others.

What would suit a 28 year old?.......
