Its tough. I could probably pick it out if i went to my trip planning docs, but they have website links and that would be cheating

It is a parador - an old castle.

It's a place called Verin, province of Ourense, northern Spain. Pic was taken from the castle overlooking the plain looking sort-of northwards. The Portuguese border is pretty close at that point.

I got the province

I assume its Santo Estevo? (now looked at my old docs). I thought it was a monastery/hostel? We ended up staying els ewhere as it was too close to our overnight stay in Portugal
