Thanks. Strangely, BHX Fast Track isn’t showing with Jet2 frown
Ryanair are opening bag checkin 3 hours before travel now at BHX (used to be 2 hours). Check to see if Jet2 do the same at BHX and then 3 hours should be sufficient without fast track.
Thanks.
Can’t FT via J2. Our time slots must be fully booked. frown

, then you can just go straight from the monorail to security on the day of your flight.

You would need to drop your bags off and then walk/taxi to B’ham International Station to get the monorail back to BHX and join the security queue on level 2.

Perfect.
I can drop bags the night before, and get a stupidly early taxi to Birmingham International. smile

I was concerned that I’d arrive in the monorail on fl 1 and have to go downstairs to join an ungodly queue!

They are trying to stop people doing that -

Know your Check-In Zone inside the terminal:
Zone A for Jet2,
Zone D for Emirates,
Zones B & C for all other airlines
Our new security area construction works are still on-going. This means the queuing area for security is mainly downstairs.
Please note that all passengers arriving by train are required to head to the ground floor to join the queue for security.

So are we to assume that these queues include people who have fast track?

No. We’ve even provided photos of where to go if you have fast track. Do you want me to meet you at the airport to help you find the fast track queue next to the lifts?

Not even fast track will help once Just Stop Oil start their planned summer campaign to disrupt airports.

With impromptu arrangements by BHX it is entirely possible that they would start to queue everyone until the building, and then filter once inside. Them doing this could vary daily and that was the motivation for the question.

In terms of your offer of popping down to assist, that would really be appreciated. I am in car park 1 and will be arriving about 11:00. Could we meet by the ticket machine on the ground floor?

Happy to buy a coffee and have a chat, I might be able to help you with your snarky attitude problem.

Ohh ahh mrs smile

If I was in the UK I might take you up on your kind offer of a coffee.

Final advice. If in doubt when you arrive ask one of the security people where to queue for fast track and they will advise you to go straight to the lifts to find the fast track entrance to security.

Please let us know if you manage to find the right queue thumbup

Phil. You’re a blow-out. You’re promising one minute to come down to help me, the next you’re telling me you’re not even in the right country. I feel like I have been catfished.

I flew out on the 10th June at 11:30. Had express security booked and got through easily. Less than 20 minutes and we were eating breakfast.

Express was provided with our flight ticket and package.

At 11:00 this morning there were no queues.

I had paid for fast track but it was no quicker than standard. In fact the fast track lane appeared to dissolve into general population at some point. There was a separate scanner on the left that appeared to have a short queue, but if that was FT i didn’t see any signs for it.
