If you use this brand of dry cat food have a quick check for it containing dog food. There might be a bad batch of it.

Came back after an overnight break to find that the cat had been sick everywhere and diarrhea in quantities to match.

The poor thing was curled up in her bed that was also covered in the above and she seemed rather distressed.

So I checked her water and food. It was then I noticed little bone shaped food pellets and other items not normally in her food and sure enough the box contained this stuff mixed in with the normal cat food.

I don't think this will do the cat much harm long term but by feck the cat certainly has had a nasty reaction to whatever was in the box.

She seems a bit more perky tonight after a feed of the propper stuff.

Let the manufacturers know the batch, they may not be aware of a problem. Hopefully next 24hrs your cat will be back to normal, give bland food for a day or so, if still signs of upset tummy after next 24hrs vet ck would be sensible, poor little thing.

I suspect it's a coincidence that there were dog biscuits in the cat food - I very much doubt a few dog biscuits would cause that reaction, so I'd be taking her to the vets for a checkup if she were my cat.

If she has a relapse she is going straight to the vet, however she is being her usual minx tonight and seems fine. Fingers crossed.

She does seem to react to other foods badly in general. I'm only thankful she is fine with the GoCat and has over all these years been a very healthy pussy cat.
