Hello folks, we have a lovely 4 year old rescue cat that we have had in the house since he was one.
We are thinking about getting a kitten and are wondering how he will get on, there are 6 cats next door who all give our chap a bit of a hard time, one of them is a large a maine coon, a right evil bd!biggrin
Our main worry is how our cat will get on with the kitten, he is not an aggresive cat and TBH seems to be a bit ghey! biggrin

Has anyone got any experience with introducing a kitten to an older, established cat?

Everybody likes piccies so here are a couple...

Edited for speeling.

Yes we rescued a kitten when we had a cat (who was rescued a year before!). We found that because it was a kitten the other cat was cautious around it, hissed a bit for a day or so but we told her off, and within a week they were sharing a bed (we fed them next to each other and also played with string and they were both chasing after it soon enough)...

It may also be easier if your cat enjoys playing as a kitten will be fun.
