That is a very uncomfortable dog, he is obviously not happy and not because he is feeling guilty for eating kitty treats frown

I'm glad It's not only me that thought the dog wasn't happy. The sad thing is that it won't have any idea why It's being chastised.

Our Shadows knows instantly after she's done something naughty. And we don't don't punish, she knows from just a 'naughty'. Shadow doesn't like being in our bad books though, she's a mummys girl.

She stole some pick'n'mix the other day, and after refusing to come inside, she wouldn't look at my missus at all and was all sheepish , she had to come over and say sorry, paw and kisses.

That dog cannot even look at that guy.
What has he done to make it that fearful?
It's not guilty it looks bloody terrified for it's life.

I am not sure. Some dogs just are like that. We have one who when you ask in the most polite way "what have you done" he will put his head down and start the creeping game (or he will sulk about being asked what he's done, let's say just after you find him down the bottom of the garden with someone plastic he's nicked from the kitchen and is busily chewing up). Another one you could do what you like in terms of telling her she's been a bad girl, she just sits and looks at you (smiling) and as soon as you are done, she carries on like nothing has happened.

It's the same with people, some don't want to be told off, some don't care.

I also do wonder if some people don't credit dogs with enough intelligence, I think quite often they know that they have done something wrong - we can come back from a few hours away, and one dog will be creeping - that means we then go and look for what she's done wrong !! So she must know it's wrong etc.. and remember that she did it however long ago it was?!?!?
