ok, so the sphynx is a bit of a wildcard but what would you go for ?

if you went siamese would you get one of the ones with mental big ears ?

Been reading up on these as we were considering getting a cat.

Burmese was what I would have gone for, had we decided to get one.

Burmese are nosey gits who bugger off without even a "I've gone to see what's over the other side of those houses. I may be back in a couple of days/a few weeks/a few months/never. Don't wait up. Yours, Nismo your 13 month old Burmese boy.
P.S Don't even think about putting my stuff in the shed"

Sorry to hear that, and not what you want to hear but probably stolen by now. Was he chipped?

Burmese are amazing cats. I agree with the consensus here.

Yes, only two days before he went off.

I doubt he's been stolen per se as he is very nervous with strangers even if you've got food. He also had a collar with name and phone number.

Saying that they are great cats. thumbup

Ive always wanted a sphynx cat!

A friend had one who said it was the friendliest, most entertaining cat he'd ever had! And apparently very vocal!

I'd have a korat.

They have bright green eyes and silky grey fur, while not being as demanding as a Siamese or Burmese.

Beautiful cats.

We have Burmese and a Siamese and love both, but the Siamese is MENTAL. Wouldn't mind a Tonk myself but the wife wants a chocolate point Siamese next. By coincidence one of our other Burmese buggered off and went to live with a nearby neighbour. In the end they bought him from us and we don't hardly ever see him. I think he got annoyed when we bought the Siamese and the dogs!

That's typical of Burmese. biggrin
When it's time for bed I pick mine up so he's on his back in my arms and he refuses to look at me as he knows it's bedtime.

Do look in to the Korat option.

I've got a cat who was the result of an, er 'error' at a breeder who breeds both Korats and Burmese. The resulting cross is a lovely playful and intelligent cat!
