Hi All,
Picking up a 8 week old cockapoo puupy at the weekend and have him scheduled for his first vaccinations with the vet a few days after.
Was wondering if we can then take him out into the big wide world for walks etc or will we have to wait a few weeks longer aftre his second set of injections?
Thanks in advance.

I would get his injections done before you do this. From what I remember a vet told me a while back when I had just got my border terrier pup is that there immune system couldn't handle been taken out until after all the vaccinations. I could be wrong, this is just from personal experiance.

Yeah I wouldn't, about a week after his 2nd jab should be good and always the advice that the vets gave us. Should be ok in your back garden though as long as you've wormed him.

Whats a cockapoo by the way? Im thinking a cocker spaniel/poodle cross?

Pics please. smile

Tally, our new pup, is allowed into the big wide world next Monday! Very exciting!

Thanks for advice everyone.
Yes, he is a cross between a Poodle and a Cockerspaniel - his name is Spartacus!
