It amazes me the bond that a human and animal can develop.

They probably spent 24/7 together out there doing what they do... the pooch was probably so devastated his master was no longer by his side.

And we all know how frantic our dogs can become when theyre unhappy.

So very sad, both should have had so many years in front of them. I wonder if the dog saw his master die, it would certainly have added a lot of stress and possibly contributed to his death. Such a waste on both counts frown

(I really hope it was natural causes for him, I'd hate to think it was anything other, I do wish I wasn't so cynical sometimes frown)

A very sad story indeed frown According to our local paper Theo suffered a seizure after he was taken back to camp the same day. Wasn't there some publicity on their great acheivements some time before this happened?

Read today that the Army don't repatriate dogs, but that L/Cpl Tasker and Theo are coming back on the same plane, next week.
