Easiest option i know of involves one of these...

Theres some decent wildlife in the garden but about 3 or 4 grey squirrels constantly in our garden and in short they just nick all the nuts from the feeder.

So my tactic was to get like a fake eagle or fox (although real foxes do lurk at night) or something after seeing this..

and this..

Or any repelants or anything i can put in the area so they just fk off into someone elses garden?

Ta!

Consider them as part of your garden wildlife .......

Set yourself the challenge of making it harder and harder for them to get at the nuts and watch as the ingenious blighters work out how to get at the booty ......

Yes we have two metal wired ones, that they still cut through yikes

I did have the idea of sticking the feeder on a metal pole in the garden, covered anti climb paint.
Should stop them for a while, until they do suicide jumps from the tree onto the feeder...

Just put more food out, and feed them too.

And as above, make it more difficult for them to get to the food, they like a challenge!

I put a feeding pole in the garden with squirrel proof feeders on it. I put olive oil (so not to harm them if they lick it off their feet) up the pole and was quite amusing watching them getting part way up then sliding down again! Although you have to keep putting it on as they wipe it off.

parents have a wooden bird feeder covered with chicken wire into a box, with small bird sized holes in the side that are too small for a squirel's head

some small birds like robins can fly in, take seeds and fly out all in one motion, ie not stopping

the food put out is for anything that can get it

cut the bottom off a large pop bottle then pass the pole through the neck and run it half way up the pole. The little blighters will climb the pole and enter the bottle - stopped. If it has a larege diameter they cannot get a purchase on the bottle. No doubt the will try the suicide jump from the nearest plant/tree/fencr/etc but they earn anything they can get
