How often do you walk your dog ?

How well does your dog flap work out of interest? We are considering one for ours, but not sure how much it will actually be used!
Too well, ours are in and out all day.....................and night. We have to block it off at night now as they tend to start barking at the top of the garden any time after I have gone to sleep. .I work part time so Jackson gets between 1.5 and 2 hours 3/4 days a week.
On work days he's lazy ATM as he's a bit old and it's dark and wet so we only do 10 mins in the morning and evening. This has only been the case since last November so when the weather gets better I think we'll be back to 30-40 mins at each end of the working day. He covers at least twice the distance that I do though and gets lots of balls and sticks thrown.

ill b honest not as often as i should 3 nights after work but off the lead up the mountain for hours me diving and hiding in bushes and scrub, having a whale of a time dog looking for me ,should see the state of me when i get back in, sometimes im worse than dog, also the times she is up and down the steps after the cat that antagonizes her at the back garden keeps her on the go

I dont really walk mine parse' we go out training two or three times a week in all weathers for at least an hour to an hour an half. It includes various on off lead work depending on how good she is...walking on the lead close heel work and no dummy retrieving is a punishment ie removing her freedom.
At least once a day. She's a mastiff pup and doesn't need a lot of walking but I make sure she gets at least one a day.
She's always on the lead as we're still working on her recall, but, as well as the walk she has plenty of space to run around in the garden and if I'm home during the day we'll play with the toys in the garden.
I was pondering the same thing the other day. There's a house with 2 German Shepherds on our road and they never seem to get walked. Our neighbour has a staffie which as far as I can tell either spends its time in a crate or snarling at the fence at our dog.
Its not difficult, dogs need exercise, its cruel not to and its actually a very good way of winding down after a day. I'm as lazy as they come and even I enjoy taking my dog for a walk.

When my cocker Rommel gets a glimpes of the rain, he will dig four paws into the ground and have to be dragged outside. He will then stand there shivering even if it is 30 degrees. Even got him a stupid dryzabone but to no avail.
In non rainy weather three times a day all off the lead.

Once a day. They are happy with 20-25 mins a day, we tend to give them 40-55 mins so they sleep a lot more. Plus we have a shade under half an acre of garden for them to run around in - but they tend to only do that for 5 mins a day, they prefer to mainly lay in the house for some reason.
1-1.5hrs 5 days a week (most of that off the lead)
The other days I work 8am - 7pm. Jimmy comes to work with me. When I worked 4 days a week I'd take him out before work and during my half hr lunch break! Now I've a baby boy who goes to nursery I'm up at 6am and it's non stop until I get to work. Luckily Jimmy's very easy going and copes very well with our routine, he burns off a fair bit of energy at work playing with the other staff dogs!

My Holly is 11 in April and only has 20 -30 minutes twice a day off the lead and not so keen to go either this wet weather. A nice bright morning is a different story;)
