Finally my diary allows me to visit this year, having never done so is it worth it?

I'm fully aware of the controversy over the last few years so that can be left for another thread smile

Its a very good doggy day out.

Best thing to do is to choose the day that covers your preferred breeds for the show aspect, that way you get to see a vast array of your faves.

The other half of the show is discover dogs, this is where every KC recognised breed club has a stand with owners and dogs on for you to chat and play with.

Then there is the HUGE market place selling everything doggy related.

I'm a Labrador person, my OH is a dachshund fanatic and we can both only do the Sunday!

Always a sucker for NEC show tat smile

From what you are saying you are not showing a dog, at which point I don't think it would be as much fun (it's not a huge amount of fun when you are competing (though winning is nice!)).

As above, discover dogs is a good day out to just go and look at loads of pooches...

Not a show-er, our collection of impeccably bred, yet slightly manic sausage dogs would cause un-chaos if let anywhere near the NEC!

A good day out, You have the main arena with agility, flyball heelwork to music and demos. Also the obedience area along with discover dogs and the big one - shopping. Thursday and Friday are the best days because it is quieter. Well worth the effort to go, I'm looking forward to it, fingers crossed the dog is sound by then though frown

I'm going to Crufts for the first time this year and I'm taking this handsome boy with me - hope he's better behaved than the terriers!
